Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (R.A) was born in Mecca. She was the daughter of Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) from his eighth line and the daughter of Ummul Momineen Romana bint Aamer from her eleventh line, and she was married to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). She was known for her generosity and kindness, as she would divide the wealth in her home among the needy, even using patched clothing for herself. It is narrated that she once saw Aisha (R.A) giving seventy thousand dirhams and dinars in charity for the sake of Allah, despite stitching patches on her own shirt pocket.

Hazrat Anas (R.A) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) once prayed, “O Allah! Keep me in poverty while I am alive and give me a humble state in death, and raise me among the poor on the Day of Resurrection.” Upon hearing this, Aisha (R.A) asked why he had prayed in this manner, to which the Prophet (PBUH) replied that the poor will enter paradise forty years before the rich. He advised Aisha (R.A) to love the poor and keep them close, so that on the Day of Judgment, Allah will grant her proximity.

In another narration, Aisha (R.A) mentions an incident where the Prophet (PBUH) informed her that the angel Gabriel was greeting her, to which she responded with the appropriate greeting. She then remarked that the Prophet (PBUH) could see things she couldn’t see.

Aisha (R.A) once lost a necklace given to her by Asma (R.A). The Prophet (PBUH) sent people to search for it, but they got distracted and prayed without performing ablution. When they came back to the Prophet (PBUH) in a state of impurity, a verse related to their negligence was revealed. Asma (R.A) prayed for Aisha (R.A), saying that whenever she faced any hardship, Allah always provided her with a way out and brought blessings to the Muslims because of her.

Through the teachings and historical accounts, the virtues and characteristics of Hazrat Aisha (R.A) have been revealed. She is known as the beloved wife of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was honored to enter into his marriage in a pure state. She had such knowledge and wisdom that prominent companions like Abu Huraira (R.A), Abdur Rahman bin Auf, and Abdallah ibn Zubayr sought guidance from her on religious matters.

Hazrat Aisha (R.A) passed away on the 17th of Ramadan. Abu Huraira (R.A) led her funeral prayer, and she was buried in Jannat al-Baqi as per her instructions.
