Popular South Korean Muslim YouTuber and singer Dawood Kim halted the project of building a mosque after negative reactions from local residents.
Kim had announced the construction of a mosque on Youngjong Island in Incheon, South Korea, for which he had already purchased land for $1,365,500.
Kim had initially raised 20 million won and planned to pay the rest next month.
After the negative reactions from the people, both parties, Kim and the landowner, agreed to cancel the contract.
The landowner expressed ignorance about Kim’s intentions to build a mosque on the site.
