Renowned singer Ali Zafar has initiated a social media vote for the anthem of season 9 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). With only a month left until the much-anticipated event, preparations are underway by the Pakistan Cricket Board, and fans are speculating about which singer will lend their voice to this season’s anthem.

When it comes to PSL anthems, fans immediately think of Ali Zafar, who has sung anthems for three previous seasons and gained immense popularity. He has now taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to seek the opinion of cricket fans. In a post, he asks, “Do you think that if I did the anthem of PSL this year, it will enhance the image of the brand of PSL and PCB, deepen the connection with people, and bring more financial benefit to all stakeholders or will it prove to be otherwise? Be honest with your votes. I have no ego and I will explain later, why I have posted this tweet 🙂 abhee just vote.”

After receiving feedback from cricket fans, Ali Zafar expressed his desire to genuinely understand the preferences of the general public rather than just a few powerful individuals. He emphasized the importance of honesty in the voting process and stated that he will provide further clarification on his post later, urging people to simply vote for now.

In response to Ali Zafar’s request for opinions, cricket fans have expressed their desire to hear the anthem in Ali Zafar’s voice. It should be noted that the PSL 9 will commence on February 17, with the first match taking place at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium. Overall, 34 matches will be played during the T20 tournament, with the PSL final scheduled for March 18 in Karachi.
