NAB recently submitted a report to the accountability court, clearing Ahad Cheema of any wrongdoing in the case.
The verdict from the NAB court was based on the findings of their report.
According to the NAB report, the assets held by the former LDA chief do not warrant legal action, as they were found to align with his income. The properties held by alleged benamidars of Cheema were built from their personal income and were not directly linked to him.
Cheema provided NAB with his income and profit records during the re-investigation, and these records were verified and found to be accurate. As a result, NAB has requested the accountability court to consider Cheema’s acquittal plea in accordance with the law.
