Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has once again increased the electricity tariff by 7 rupees and 5 paise per unit for consumers.
According to a statement issued by NEPRA, the recent increase is due to the monthly fuel adjustment for January, which will burden consumers with an additional 66 billion rupees.
The increase in prices will not apply to lifeline and agricultural electricity consumers, while those affected will have to pay extra charges in their monthly bills.
