Karachi: The head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while warning the establishment, said that fix the country and hold elections again, otherwise the public is prepared to come out in the streets. I believe you know the limits of your powers, but the violations you commit are many times more.

Addressing a public assembly titled “Sindh Public Assembly” held under the jurisdiction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Karachi on Thursday night on the New MA Jinnah Road connected to the mausoleum of the Quaid, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that working for the establishment will be considered loyal only when the institutions are weakened by your governments, for which the people are suffering the consequences. We know the history of dictators who change power through conspiracies.

He said that after barriers were erected on the border, it was said that now no one can come from Afghanistan, billions of rupees were spent on barriers, how did armed individuals return? Not supporting operations in tribal areas was our big mistake, Pakistan’s three rivers were sold in the Marshal Law.

He said that if our establishment thinks that these people will tire, it is their mistake. Even after 2018, we continued our movement against rigging. The gathering today has proven that the assemblies established in elections are fake. Deals were made from the Sindh Assembly to the President’s House, assemblies were bought and sold. We were obstacles and threats to them and we were defeated because we were included in their goals. If we were in the assemblies, neither would the islands have been sold, nor could any other wrongdoing have been done. We were punished for opposing Israel, supporting Hamas attacks, and striving to improve Afghanistan and Pakistan.

He further said, “We know our constitutional boundaries well, and we expect the same from others.” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that democratic struggle holds no importance in this country, you need the support of the establishment and the elections have been held under its auspices, decisions are made by the establishment, democracy has died, only the word democracy is being used, democracy in the country has been eradicated.

He said that we are fighting a war for a self-sufficient Pakistan, our struggle is not to reach the assemblies and ministries. Our country is suffering from hunger despite being agricultural, the situation has deteriorated. Institutions are being questioned, now our struggle will continue on the streets until the rights are obtained.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that if the Supreme Court violates the Relief and End of Prophethood issues of Qadianis, it will be up to the sole of our shoe. The people of Sindh will have to come out in the field to protect their rights only then will their rights and territories be safeguarded.

Along with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, speeches were also delivered by Maulana Abdul Ghaffar Hyderi, Allama Rashid Mahmood Sumro, Senator Ata-ur-Rahman, Mir Shah Zain Khan Bajrani, Ilyas Latif Palijo, Syed Zain Shah, and others.
