Dubai: Federal Finance Minister Mohammad Orangzeb has said that now there will be no tax amnesty scheme and people will have to pay taxes. According to the Ministry of Finance officials, addressing a ceremony in Dubai, Federal Finance Minister Mohammad Orangzeb said that economic measures are not related to any government but to the country. He expressed determination that reserves of exchange will remain between 9 to 10 billion dollars by June, and PIA will be privatized by July, while discussions are ongoing with Turkey and Europe for the renovation of Islamabad Airport.
He said that Lahore and Karachi airports will also be privatized. Mohammad Orangzeb said that Pakistan currently does not lack international funding, efforts are being made to reduce the current account deficit, in which we have also been successful.
The Finance Minister said that the World Bank is willing to support ‘Digital Pakistan’ for ten years. He said that now there will be no amnesty scheme, people will have to pay taxes, we are successfully meeting international payments, confidence in global institutions has been restored in Pakistan, and we hope to receive trade finance from Emirati banks in the near future.
