The decision on Sheikh Rashid Ahmed’s application for the dismissal of the case has been reserved
The Islamabad High Court has reserved the decision on the request to dismiss the case against Sheikh Rashid Ahmed. Multiple cases registered in Sindh, Islamabad, and other cities against Sheikh Rashid were heard in the High Court. The police submitted the report to the court and the State Council read the FIR filed at the Mochko police station.
Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri inquired about the use of inappropriate language in the FIR against Bilawal Bhutto. The words used in the FIR were not found in the report. The IG Sindh and Prosecutor General Sindh were asked where these words were taken from. Investigating officers were asked to prove the accusations. It was clarified that the incident took place in Islamabad, so why was the statement given in Karachi? Benazir Bhutto was martyred in Rawalpindi, so will the case be in Karachi? The investigating officer mentioned the presence of USB and a video on YouTube with over 9 million views.
The court reserved the decision. It is clear that Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has filed for the dismissal of cases in Mochko, Lasbela, and Islamabad.
