‘Pakistan in discussions with Gulf states to enhance business partnerships’

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Commerce Gohar Ejaz stated on Thursday that Oil-rich Gulf countries are showing interest in investing in Pakistan.

Ejaz mentioned that Pakistan has implemented a ‘One Window’ operation to assist investors looking for opportunities in agriculture, information technology, and mining sectors, as reported by the state news agency today.

He also mentioned ongoing discussions with Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia to enhance business relationships with these nations.

He appreciated the efforts of the Caretaker Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff and emphasized that important measures are being taken to attract foreign investors to Pakistan.

Regarding Pakistan’s natural mineral resources and food products, he highlighted the need to increase export volumes to countries like Europe and the United States of America.

He further added that the Caretaker government has set targets to boost exports and advance the industrial and agriculture sectors in Pakistan.

In response to a question about brands, he emphasized the proper introduction of Pakistani brands to different countries.

He also assured that investors would be provided with all necessary facilities through SIFC.
