SP Rawal reported the arrest of a gang of female snatchers who have confessed to their crimes during the investigation.
Authorities stated that the gang was targeting people on the metro bus service in Rawalpindi, and action was taken after receiving numerous complaints.
Members of the gang were found in possession of two mobile phones and Rs450,000.
In a separate incident in March, a gang of armed dacoits using rickshaws for robberies was apprehended in Karachi.
The ‘Rickshaw Gang’ had robbed a shop in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, stealing mobile phones and cash worth Rs15 million.
