Karachi: There is no decrease in the incidents of burglaries in the city. Just yesterday, dacoits attacked a doctor’s house and after looting and robbing the household, they managed to escape.
According to the police, in the Gulberg area, in house number B-71 block 10 FB Area, 3 dacoits robbed the residents, looting cash of 1.5 million rupees, 8 golden bangles, and 2 boxes of mobile phones and then fled. The CCTV footage of the accused coming near the house, entering the house, and then fleeing after the robbery also went viral.
The owner of the house, Masroor Ahmed son of Maqbool Ahmed, has registered case number 534/2023 at the Gulberg police station against the unknown accused under sections 392/397/34. The complainant stated in his statement that he is a retired doctor, and on December 18, 2023, he was present at home with his family when he was working outside the house for financial matters, which is why the main gate was open. Around 8 o’clock in the morning, three unknown armed individuals, aged 25 to 30 wearing shirts, entered through the main gate.
The accused, at gunpoint, gathered all the residents in the kitchen, including 1.5 million rupees in cash, 8 golden bangles from his sister-in-law, whose value is yet to be determined, and 2 boxes of mobile phones from the house. They then fled on their own motorcycle, firing in the air. The CCTV footage of the incident went viral, showing 3 robbers entering the house at gunpoint, standing outside the house before the robbery, and then all three entering the house. After the robbery, the robbers started to flee, causing the residents to create a commotion, upon which the robbers fled by firing in the air.
