Karachi: MQM Pakistan has submitted a resolution condemning street crimes and the killings of citizens in the National Assembly. The resolution, submitted by MQM Pakistan member of the National Assembly Farhan Chishti, expresses strong reservations about the increasing incidents of street crime and the deaths of citizens in Karachi.

According to the resolution, the protection of the lives and property of citizens is the responsibility of the state. When will the government fulfill its responsibilities? The Sindh government has failed to provide protection to citizens and the statements of ministers are equivalent to rubbing salt in wounds.

The assembly is urged to take note of this serious issue, and the Prime Minister and Interior Minister are urged to implement strict measures. The resolution recommends offering fifty lakh rupees compensation to the families of those killed in robberies, providing government employment, and covering the educational expenses of children.

The resolution questions why Karachi is being deprived of being a safe city despite economic prosperity. What are the motives behind keeping Karachi deprived of modern surveillance systems?

The resolution also recommends taking action against ineffective SHOs and police officers in stopping crimes in their respective areas.

It is clear that MQM Pakistan has also presented a resolution condemning street crimes and the killings of citizens in Karachi in the Sindh Assembly.
