A passenger bus traveling from Lodhran to Karachi collided with a cotton bale trawler on the National Highway in Bahawalpur, resulting in five deaths and ten injuries, according to rescue officials. Another truck also crashed into the bus and trawler. Five people died at the scene and ten injured were taken to Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital by Rescue 1122. Four of the injured are in critical condition. The hospital declared an emergency. Punjab interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and instructed the district administration to provide the best medical care to the injured and to provide a report on the accident.
