A committee has been formed by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti to assess the damages caused by heavy rains and floods in Gwadar district. The committee, headed by Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, will submit its report to the CM within 20 days. The committee includes MNA, MPA, chairmen of the district council and municipal committee, Makran commissioner, and Gwadar deputy commissioner. Bugti, visiting Gwadar on the directions of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, instructed officials to complete the dewatering process within 24 hours and provide relief to those affected by the floods. The chief minister met with flood-affected families and distributed relief goods. Other leaders were also present, including Mir Zahoor Buledi, Haq Do Tehreek Maulana Hidayatur Rehman, MPA Ali Madad Jattak, Senator Kauda Babar, and Mir Ubaidullah Gorgage. Bugti emphasized the need to restore peace in Balochistan, calling it the biggest challenge. He announced a general pardon for armed groups and urged them to join the mainstream. Bugti also criticized JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for alleging electoral rigging in Balochistan, stating that the party’s losses were due to performance, not rigging.
