Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder member Akbar S. Babar has announced to challenge the intra-party elections of PTI.
During a press conference in Islamabad, Akbar S. Babar said that whatever happened in the intra-party elections in the name of democracy is fraud because there is no mention of the word “invisible leader” in PTI’s constitution.
He said that if the recommendations of Justice Wajihuddin in 2013 were accepted, then PTI would have become an institution. Instead of accepting their recommendations, they were removed from PTI. During the corona period, PTI asked for a one-year extension from the election commission. PTI has famous lawyers who talk about the constitution and law, but now they are part of this fraud.
He said that PTI has been high-jacked even before. When I used to say that foreign funding took place, they used to say it’s easy load, now those who used to call me easy load have been downloaded. PTI completely rejects the intra-party elections.
Akbar S. Babar said that the situation is more dangerous from before in such elections, how are these elections in which the founders and members cannot participate? Yesterday, the PTI delegation went to the PTI office. Voter lists were asked from PTI officials. The PTI leadership has been imposed.
He said that the underground people’s nomination papers have been collected and people present in the ground have been ignored, you did not give importance to workers and merit. Akbar S. Babar said that the Election Commission and the judiciary should be told to scrutinize the funding of all parties and not to wait in this matter.
He said that the workers of PTI should have the authority to elect the party chairman, but today a new chairman has been elected by doing a drama, tell the Election Commission and the judiciary to play a role in bringing democracy to the parties. Rejecting the intra-party elections, Akbar S. Babar also announced to go to the Election Commission of Pakistan and the court and said that PTI has applied the current situations on itself, I kept recommending reconstruction policy repeatedly.
