According to sources, Afnan’s Polygraphic and Photogrammetrical test was conducted by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency. However, police have not yet received the results of the OC fixation test to determine Afnan’s age. The case will proceed once the reports are received, sources said. Meanwhile, the arrest of the main accused Afnan’s friend Ibrahim has been delayed by Punjab police, according to sources.

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore had handed over underage driver Afnan Shafqat to the police for five days on physical remand. The investigation officer (IO) of the case had informed the court that a medical test was required to determine Afnan’s age.

Horrific accident

Six members of the same family were killed in a tragic car accident in Lahore’s Defence Phase 7 area. They were returning home in two cars after visiting relatives when the accident occurred at a roundabout.

The accident caused the head of the family to suffer traumatic stress as he witnessed the tragic scene. The victims included his wife, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandson, and granddaughter.

Car driver Afnan Shafqat, who was overpowered by the locals on the spot, was identified as the underage driver involved in the deadly road accident in Phase-VII of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA). He admitted to intentionally ramming his car into the family in a video statement.
