Islamabad: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved three projects for Pakistan with a total value of $658.8 million. ADB has approved $300 million for the Improving Resource Mobilization and Utility Efficiency Program, while an additional financing of $270 million has been approved for the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project. In addition, an $80 million concessional loan has been approved for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Security Support Project. According to ADB, the projects have been approved to achieve sustainable growth and development goals, with a focus on mobilizing local resources, improving flood-affected schools, and enhancing food security by increasing crop production. The financing received by Pakistan will help the country recover from the effects of last year’s floods and put it back on the path of long-term development.
