The Punjab Assembly has approved a supplementary budget of over 600 billion rupees. According to Express News, the Finance Minister announced good news for Assembly employees by declaring a one-month basic salary as an incentive. Deputy Speaker Zahid Chaudhry has also enforced the Gluttony Law.
The Punjab Assembly has approved the demands of jails and convicts settlements worth 23 billion, 25 crore, and 12 lakh 9 thousand in the supplementary budget for 2022-23. Similarly, the Assembly approved the demands of public health worth 6 billion, 38 crore, and 26 lakh 7 thousand in the supplementary budget for 2022-23. Veterinary demands of 2 billion, 64 crore, and 18 lakh 80 thousand, as well as miscellaneous department demands worth 66 crore, 40 lakh, and 1 thousand rupees have also been approved.
Upon completion of the agenda, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly adjourned the session for an indefinite period.
