In Karachi, the Lyari Development Authority (LDA) has taken significant action in Scheme 43 by canceling a plan and permit for a land area of over 310 acres. According to details, the LDA has canceled the proposed land plan and development permit for private sector projects and societies in Scheme 43 due to non-payment of after development charges (ADC). As part of this action, the public has been instructed not to engage in any kind of transactions within these private sector projects and societies.

Furthermore, the LDA has also sent notices to the Sindh Building Control Authority to reject the proposed maps for these projects and to cancel any approved plans. This action was taken after non-payment of ADC charges, and the defaulting parties are facing legal consequences. Sources claim that the canceled projects are located in Jum Chakro, Deh Band Murad, and Mai Garhi.

The documents reveal that the development permits for various land areas, such as Shah Mir and Pasomel’s 25-acre land in Jum Chakro, have been canceled. Similarly, the approval for 12 acres and 17 ghuntas of Sama Builder’s land in Mai Garhi, and Rashed Hussain’s 16-acre land in Jum Chakro have also been revoked.

In addition, the approvals for Arshad Iqbal’s 4-acre land in Jum Chakro, Cane View Phase II’s 28-acre land, and M. Iqbal and Brothers’ separate 5 parcels of land have all been canceled as well. Furthermore, the approvals for Muhammad Shahid’s 14 acres and 39 ghuntas of land in Deh Band Murad, Sayedeen Associates’ 91-acre land, and Golden Globe’s 50 acres in Jum Chakro have all been revoked.

According to the LDA, the development permits and proposed land plans for all these individuals have been canceled due to their failure to pay ADC charges. The Sindh government has requested public awareness in this regard and has instructed the public and government officials not to engage in any transactions related to these lands.

The LDA director of planning has initiated legal action against defaulting parties and has confirmed that legal action will be taken against those who have submitted checks that have bounced. The Sindh Building Control Authority has also been asked to reject the proposed maps for these projects and to cancel any approved plans.
