Karachi: The country’s foreign exchange reserves decreased by an additional $13.8 million in the week ending on December 15.
According to the figures released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday, the value of the country’s foreign exchange reserves decreased to $12.1 billion by December 15.
The statement revealed that there was a $136 million decrease in the State Bank’s reserves, resulting in a decrease of $6.9 billion in the government’s foreign exchange reserves.
According to the State Bank, there was also a $2 million decrease in the commercial banks’ foreign exchange reserves by December 15, resulting in a decrease of $5.2 billion in their reserves.
