Karachi: In a firing incident by dacoits in Malir Jaffar Tayyar Society, a woman lost her life while a civilian was injured. Enraged locals captured one of the dacoits, targeting him with violence and eventually killing him by firing. According to Express News, in Malir City’s Jaffar Tayyar Society near Mangal Bazaar, three dacoits on motorcycles were looting civilians when one of the civilians fired at them, provoking the dacoits to retaliate, resulting in a female pedestrian and a man getting injured.
During the incident, the locals captured one of the dacoits, targeting him with violence and firing at him, resulting in his death. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene.
The wounded were being transferred to Jinnah Hospital for immediate medical assistance, but the woman succumbed to her injuries, identified as 30-year-old Shahida, while the 55-year-old Naveed Hussain is receiving medical treatment. According to police officials, the deceased Shahida was a resident of the same area and had familial ties in Lodhran, where she worked as a domestic worker, living in her aunt’s house in Malir Jaffar Tayyar Society.
SHO Malir City Farrast Shah revealed that the deceased dacoit was identified through an identity card found in his pocket, belonging to Israr Walid Sherief, who resided in Shafiq Goth area of Shah Latif Town.
He mentioned that the killed dacoit was shot dead, but further investigations are underway to gather more information from eyewitnesses. The motorcycle recovered from the possession of the dacoits has been confiscated by the police.
