A committee consisting of senior leaders Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Raja Parvez Sharaf, Syed Khursheed Shah, and Syed Naveed Qamar has been appointed to reach out to various political parties.
On February 21, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the PPP announced Asif Ali Zardari as their joint candidate for the upcoming presidential elections.
During a joint press conference at Zardari House in Islamabad, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated that PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is expected to become the country’s prime minister once again.
Bilawal also confirmed that the PML-N would be supporting his father, Asif Ali Zardari, as the presidential candidate. He emphasized that they aim to fulfill the expectations of the people.
He mentioned that both parties plan to form a coalition government, with PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif likely to become the country’s prime minister once more. He expressed hope that they will be successful in addressing Pakistan’s challenges.
