February 8 is observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day in Pakistan to show unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for self-determination. The Prime Minister and President paid tribute to the sacrifices made by Kashmiris and emphasized the importance of the UN resolutions for a plebiscite. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to resolving the issue in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also expressed his support for Kashmiri people’s struggle and called for their rights to be honored.
