Notice issued to 5 town chairpersons and 24 UC chairpersons for violating the code of conduct in the elections

Karachi: The Election Commission has taken action against 5 town chairpersons and 24 UC chairpersons for violating electoral rules and code of conduct.
According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, there have been complaints of misuse of municipal funds in the electoral campaign by elected town chairpersons and UC chairpersons, despite the commission’s restrictions.
The Election Commission has issued notices to the town chairpersons based on the report of the district monitoring officer. According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, the town chairpersons who are required to appear before the commission in person include Liaquatabad, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Gulberg, and Nazimabad towns, while 25 UC chairpersons have also been asked to respond to the notices.
