In a rain-affected match between Pakistan and New Zealand, a video of captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi embracing each other went viral on social media.
The first T20 match in Rawalpindi was interrupted by rain, where only two overs of play were possible.
Reports of tension between Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi are circulating, but a video of the two cricketers embracing each other went viral moments before the start of the match.
Before the first T20 match against the Kiwis, captain Babar Azam had said in a press conference that he was surprised to hear reports of tensions between him and Shaheen Afridi, as they have a good relationship with each other.
Babar had said that Shaheen and his goal are to play for Pakistan and win matches, that is our priority.
It should be noted that the second T20 match of the series will be played on 20th April at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
