CJP Isa States Efforts in Progress to Properly Run Supreme Judicial Council in Pakistan

CJP Qazi Faez Isa of Pakistan addressed the operations of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), expressing the need for proper management. He emphasized the importance of public awareness about taxpayer-funded institutions and noted that the top court also holds itself accountable to the public. Justice Isa highlighted the resolution of over 5,000 cases during his tenure and emphasized the efforts to conclude as many cases as possible within limited time. He also mentioned the removal of barriers in front of the Supreme Court and the construction of a monument dedicated to fundamental rights. Additionally, he recalled convening a meeting of the Federal Judicial Academy after a considerable period. CJP Isa emphasized the public’s right to access information and the court’s commitment to transparency, including live broadcasts of Supreme Court proceedings to prevent misconceptions and allegations.
