David Cameron addressed a parliamentary committee about his concerns over Israel’s actions in Gaza possibly breaching international law. He stated that while he had been advised that Israel was compliant with international law, there were still questions to be answered. Cameron expressed worry over whether Israel could face a challenge from the International Criminal Court and mentioned that some incidents had raised concerns regarding potential breaches of international law.

Cameron also reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas but urged the Israeli military to act within international law. He emphasized the need for a concerted effort to rebuild Gaza, given the extensive destruction caused by the conflict. Additionally, Cameron mentioned that Hamas fighters had lost a significant portion of their capability and capacity to launch rockets into Israel.

In light of the growing concern over the Gaza death toll, the United States Secretary of State urged Israeli leaders to avoid causing harm to civilians and civilian infrastructure in the future.
