In a recent revelation, Hollywood actor Michael Cera shared that veteran star Ben Affleck was set to make a cameo appearance in the popular 2023 film ‘Barbie‘ but pulled out at the last minute.

According to Cera, Affleck was supposed to film a fight scene between his character, Allan, and “construction Kens” near Barbie Land.

Cera mentioned that the ‘Justice League‘ star was initially meant to do the action sequences but had to back out as he was working on his own film.

“I wasn’t even supposed to fight in the movie,” Cera revealed in a Buzzfeed report. “Am I allowed to say what it was supposed to be? It was supposed to be Ben Affleck. Right? Am I allowed to say that?”

“I think Ben wanted to do it, but he was directing his movie. They’re like, ‘Okay, Ben’s out; something has to happen here. So you’re gonna fight them.’ So I had to jump in with the stunt team.”

Cera also mentioned that shooting the action scene took a toll on his health as he had recently recovered from Covid-19. He admitted to nearly dying during warm-up and having to be treated in his trailer.
