JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has alleged that former army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and ex-spymaster Lt Gen Faiz Hameed guided political parties in the no-confidence vote against ex-prime minister Imran Khan and the PTI government. Fazlur Rehman elaborated on these events in a Samaa TV interview, claiming that the two generals were in contact with all parties regarding the vote. He admitted to sacrificing his own opinion and ultimately, the PPP and PML-N supported the no-confidence move. Fazlur also discussed the PDM and the fairness of general elections, stating that the JUI-F rejects the establishment’s narrative. His remarks have sparked reactions from political circles, with PTI and PML-N responding to the allegations. On the other hand, a PPP leader stated that the establishment withdrew its support from Imran Khan.
