An American citizen from the state of Massachusetts has attempted to set a record by sailing a 64.37 kilometer distance in the Connecticut River in a pumpkin boat.
Davi Reuthstein, from the city of Florence in the American state of Massachusetts, hollowed out a 464-kilogram pumpkin and made a temporary boat, traveling more than 64.37 kilometers from Deerfield to Holyoke by riding in the pumpkin in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record.
The current record is held by Dwain Jensen from the state of Nebraska, who traveled 60.35 kilometers in 2022.
Steve Keene, from the city of Lebanon in the state of Missouri, traveled 61.7 kilometers last month, but his record is still pending verification from Guinness World Records.
