Karachi: Another PIA flight attendant has gone missing in Canada, bringing the number of crew members who went missing abroad last year to 5.

According to sources, flight PK 784 operated from Pakistan to Canada, but the flight attendant, Ayaaz Qureshi, did not report for duty on the return flight from Toronto.

Apparently, PIA flight attendant Ayaaz Qureshi fell asleep upon arriving in Canada. Qureshi is affiliated with PIA Lahore base. Last month, 2 flight attendants also fell asleep in Canada, bringing the total number of crew members who fell asleep abroad to 5 last year.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the national airline administration has informed Canadian authorities about the crew members who had fallen asleep in Canada, and strict disciplinary action will be taken in this regard. They are also tightening regulations to prevent incidents of flight crew members falling asleep in Canada.

It should be noted that on November 10th of last month, two flights operated from Pakistan to Canada, Stourds Khalid Mahmood Afridi and Fadha Hussain Shah, fell asleep in the city of Toronto. After this, the PIA administration had set an age limit for flight attendants flying to Canada and European countries.
