Last week, the Central Jail in Rawalpindi received threatening calls. Security has been put on high alert at the Adiyala Central Jail in Rawalpindi, where several important figures including the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi are imprisoned. Last week, threatening calls were received targeting the Central Jail in Rawalpindi, and cases of terrorism and telegraphy under the Anti-Terrorism Act have also been registered. Elite forces are continuously patrolling around the jail to ensure security.
