An official from the health ministry in Gaza reported that the Israeli forces attacked the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA)-run school al-Fakhoora School at dawn. The attack on al-Fakhoora School in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza resulted in the death of at least 50 people, including women and children. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the al-Fakhoora School attack is evidence of Israel’s war on civilians in an attempt to empty the entire northern Gaza Strip area of Palestinian presence.

In addition, Israeli troops ordered the evacuation of Al-Shifa hospital, Gaza’s largest, “in the next hour” over loudspeakers on Saturday. The hospital has become the focus of the Israel-Hamas war, with Israel claiming that Hamas operates a base underneath it. The United Nations estimated that 2,300 patients, staff, and displaced Palestinians were sheltering at Al-Shifa before Israeli troops moved in. The Hamas health ministry reported deaths due to power cuts caused by fuel shortages amid intense combat. Despite repeated calls for evacuation, medical professionals say the patients cannot be moved. Hospital director Mohammed Abu Salmiya stated that Israeli troops instructed the evacuation of patients, wounded, displaced individuals, and medical staff on foot towards the seafront.
