Karachi: During a robbery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, a young man was killed during resistance to the theft of a mobile phone by dacoits.
According to details, near the limits of Mubeena Town Police Station, in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, during an attempt to steal a mobile phone near Azim Gobol Park, armed dacoits fired on a young man who lost his life, while the firing of the dacoits also injured their accomplice, who was captured from the hospital.
Eyewitnesses report that three dacoits came on a motorcycle and attempted to steal a mobile phone from the young man. When the young man resisted, he grabbed one of the dacoits, and the other culprit fired, injuring him. However, he could not survive during treatment at the hospital.
The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Kamran, whose father is from Rajanpur and he was working as a driver at a company in Karachi.
Police captured the injured dacoit from the hospital in a critical condition with the help of CCTV footage and identified the wounded dacoit as 28-year-old Kashif, son of Arif.
According to police officials, the fleeing dacoits are being hunted down, and raids are being conducted to arrest them soon. 9 people have been killed by dacoits in robberies in Karachi in the past 29 days.
