A late-night police raid took place on October 13 at a guest house in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase IV in Karachi. Eleven individuals, including five women, were arrested during the raid. The Gizri police station conducted the raid, and the individuals were charged under section 294/34 for their involvement in obscene activities.
During the raid, the police found liquor bottles at the dance party venue. Sources have revealed that the organizers had obtained permission from the police and district administration for the event, but the police still decided to raid the party.
Meanwhile, police officials have stated that while permission was given to organize a party, drugs and alcohol were never allowed at any event.
