In Lahore, the Punjab government has made a significant increase in the fees for driving licenses. According to Express News, the fee for a learner’s license was previously set at 60 rupees for 5 years, but the government has now increased the annual fee to 500 rupees. The fee for a motorcycle license, which was previously set at 550 rupees for 5 years, will now be collected at a rate of 500 rupees per year from citizens. The 5-year fee for a motorcycle rickshaw license, which was 550 rupees, has now been increased to 500 rupees per year.

The 5-year fee for a car and jeep license, previously 950 rupees, will now be collected at a rate of 1800 rupees per year. Light transport, with a previous 5-year fee of 950 rupees, will now be collected at a rate of 2000 rupees per year. Heavy transport, which had a 5-year fee of 450 rupees, will now require a payment of 2000 rupees per year. The tractor license, previously with a 5-year fee of 450 rupees, will now require a payment of 1000 rupees per year.

The commercial tractor, with a previous 5-year fee of 450 rupees, will now require a payment of 1500 rupees per year. The fee for driving licenses for disabled individuals, previously set at 20 rupees for 5 years, has been waived by the Punjab government. The 5-year fee for public service vehicles, previously set at 450 rupees, will now require a payment of 1500 rupees per year. The fees for other categories of driving licenses have been increased from 100 rupees to 1000 rupees.

A 1000% increase has been made in the fees for driving licenses. There has been a significant increase in the fees for driving licenses after 20 years. According to the Punjab government, an advertisement for the increased fees will be published soon to inform the public. The new fees will come into effect from January 1st.
