Karachi: Police were offered an expensive bribe by smugglers in Chaliya. According to the spokesperson of the District Keamari Police, Mochko police seized 3 tons of Chaliya worth 40 lakh rupees from a trailer coming from Balochistan.
During the raid, the suspects also offered the police a bribe, giving them 16 lakh rupees as a bribe, which the police accepted and registered a case. The accused had hidden the bags of Chaliya under the cement bags loaded on the truck. During the search, the police recovered 280 bags of Chaliya from the truck, weighing 3,360 kilograms.
Mochko Police arrested all four suspects involved in Chaliya smuggling: Nabi Baksh, Yar Khan, Ajab Khan, and Baran.
