Islamabad: Leader of the Muslim League and Senate opposition leader Ishaq Dar has once again proposed working together with the opposition (PTI).
When the Senate session chaired by Yousuf Raza Gilani started, senators Faisal Vawda and Maulana Abdul Wasay took the oath in the first session.
Shibli Faraz said that PTI has not left any limits of injustice, the caretaker government had to go to the Supreme Court to hold elections and then the people proved who they stood with.
He said that I present the salute to the Pakistani people, but our specific seats were not given to us, is it appropriate to deprive a province of representation in the House of Federation?
In response, Ishaq Dar said that I am not a supporter of political revenge but PTI attacked the ECP and sensitive installations, which should not have happened, the Election Commission and caretaker government were one, how can one province’s elections be right and others wrong?
He proposed that I tell the opposition to come together and take the country out of crisis, the country can only be saved by trust not mourning.
Senator Anwar ul Haq Kakar said that whenever a census is conducted, elections are held within ninety days, just like elections are a duty every ninety days, every ten years a census according to Article 235 of the constitution is also necessary.
He said that the elections were postponed, the date of February 8 was joint for everyone. The National Accountability Ordinance amendment bill 2023 was delayed in the Senate session.
