RAWALPINDI: Previously unseen images of the Pakistan Army’s heroic operation to rescue individuals stuck on a chairlift in Battagram have been unveiled on Thursday.

The pictures showcase the bravery of the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force as they save eight stranded people, including school children, during the Battagram operation.

The local cable experts also extended their assistance to the Pakistan Army during the rescue mission.

Following the successful rescue operation conducted by military commandos using helicopters and a makeshift chairlift, all eight people, including schoolchildren, who were trapped in a disabled cable car suspended above a valley in Battagram, were safely brought to the ground on Tuesday.

The Pakistan Army Aviation officers, along with Special Service Group (SSG) commandos and local inhabitants, effectively pulled out the trapped school students and teacher from the chairlift in Battagram.

In response, the KP police apprehended the owner and operator of the cable car used for transportation across rivers.
