Teenager accused of deadly road crash in Lahore requests bail

The bail petition of accused Afnan was heard in the sessions court. The court requested the case record from the police. The defense lawyer argued that the accused had been involved in a road mishap in Defence, but it was an accident. The lawyer also mentioned that the accused was a young person and requested bail for him. The complainant’s lawyer stated that the FIR included clauses of the anti-terrorism law and suggested sending the accused to the anti-terrorism court for bail. The plaintiff’s lawyer also asked the court to reject the bail plea of Afnan. Afnan Shafqat, the teenage accused, intentionally rammed his car into the victim’s car, resulting in the loss of six family members. Afnan was alone in the car when he was rescued and handed over to the police. He was then put on judicial remand by the judicial magistrate at Cantonment Courts.
