Haris Rauf of Lahore Qalandars has been ruled out of the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to a shoulder dislocation sustained during a match against Karachi Kings. The franchise announced this unfortunate news on Sunday, stating that Haris fell on his shoulder while taking a catch in the 20th over to dismiss Hasan Ali from the Kings.

Despite his injury, Haris continued to play, bowling an exceptional four overs and having a significant impact on the game. However, after undergoing scans, it was determined that he would need four to six weeks to recover, causing him to miss the remainder of the PSL season.

Team Director Sameen Rana expressed the team’s disappointment over Haris’ absence, noting his crucial role in the bowling attack. The franchise remains focused on performing well in the remaining PSL matches.

Qalandars’ captain Shaheen Afridi also expressed sadness over Haris’ injury, calling him a pillar of strength for the team. He wished Haris a speedy recovery and looked forward to his return to the field.

It is important to mention that Haris had his central contract terminated by the Pakistan Cricket Board earlier this month after allegedly refusing to join Pakistan’s Test squad for the tour of Australia in 2023-24. This decision was made after a thorough hearing process and consideration of all stakeholders’ views.
