Pakistan Muslim League (N) President and former Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a second meeting with the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, for 24 hours to form the government.

According to Express News, PML (N) President Shahbaz Sharif expressed confidence in the efforts to form a government to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while Maulana Fazlur Rehman requested time to consult with his party.

The party sources said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed Shahbaz Sharif of his reservations over the election results and requested an important meeting of the central working committee and provincial organizers of the party.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman mentioned that the party’s meeting will be held in Islamabad on February 14, where discussions will be held on the overall political situation including the formation of a government in the federation and provinces, along with the future. Keep in mind that meetings between the leadership of the Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Peoples Party have also taken place regarding government formation, and a delegation from the United National Movement (MQM) of Pakistan has also met with Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore.
