Security Killed During Resistance to Robbers’ Firing in Clifton

Police identified the deceased security guard as Zahoor during a robbery at a travel agency in Clifton. The 50-year-old guard lost his life due to resistive firing by dacoits, while in another incident, a woman’s mutilated body was found.

According to the police, the incident took place near Bukhari Travel agency in the Panchab Chowrangi area of Clifton, where Zahoor was fatally shot by unidentified suspects. The police and rescue teams arrived at the scene and transferred Zahoor’s body to Jinnah Hospital after conducting initial investigations.

SSP Sajid Amir Saddozai stated that when two suspects on a motorcycle approached the travel agency, the guard, Zahoor, confronted them. The suspects opened fire and fled the scene. One bullet hit Zahoor’s chest, resulting in his unfortunate demise.

The deceased had ties to Punjab and was a guard for a security company for the past 7 years. The police are further investigating the incident.

In another incident in Clifton near Boat Basin, a woman’s body was found in a house in Shah Rasool Colony. The police, with the help of rescue teams, transferred the body to Jinnah Hospital.

SHO Nasir Tunio mentioned that the house where the body was found had been sold, and the new owner discovered the decomposing body. The body showed signs of violence, and the police are conducting further investigations.

The woman’s identity could not be immediately ascertained, but she was estimated to be between 50 and 55 years of age. The neighbors informed the police that an elderly woman lived in the house with her husband and two children, one daughter, and a son, who had already left. There is suspicion that the deceased woman may have been the mother of the children, but the police are investigating further.

In North Karachi, near Bara Dari, during a robbery, 34-year-old Khalid, son of Khadim Hussain, was injured by motorcycle-borne suspects who fired during resistance. The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.

Additionally, in the Site Super Highway Industrial Area near Gulshan-e-Maimar Mor, 22-year-old Shahid Rafique was injured by firing from unidentified suspects, and he was also transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

SHO Muntaz Merwat mentioned that a dispute among individuals on the road led to the firing, which resulted in Shahid Rafique being wounded. The suspects had fled the scene by the time the police arrived.
