CM Gandapur unveils relief package for rain-affected individuals in KP, Pakistan

Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced a compensation package for families impacted by recent rains in the province. He directed the relief secretary to gather reports on the affected areas and losses suffered, including details on casualties and property damage. The compensation plan includes Rs1 million for families of the deceased, Rs300,000 for severely injured individuals, and Rs50,000 for those with moderate injuries. Financial assistance will also be provided for property damage caused by the rains.

The chief minister instructed Divisional Commissioners to coordinate relief efforts and provide immediate assistance to those affected. He emphasized the importance of addressing essential needs such as temporary shelter, food, and other necessities for those whose homes were damaged. Additionally, he called for the reopening of roads that were closed due to heavy snowfall and rain.

Gandapur highlighted the need to utilize all available resources to address the situation and ensure preparedness for any emergencies that may arise. He reassured the affected families that the provincial government is committed to providing support during this challenging time and pledged to extend every possible assistance to them. He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and reiterated the government’s solidarity with them, promising to spare no effort in helping those impacted by the crises in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
