The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed its dissatisfaction with the appointment of Anwarul Haq Kakar as the caretaker Prime Minister, stating that the party was not consulted in the decision-making process. The PTI spokesperson criticized the appointment, referring to it as a result of collaboration between the selected Prime Minister and the opposition leader in the National Assembly.

The PTI acknowledged the heavy responsibilities that come with the role of caretaker Prime Minister, particularly the requirement to hold general elections within the stipulated three-month period. The party expressed hope that Kakar would not allow any further violations of the Constitution, emphasizing the significance of conducting free and fair elections for the preservation of democracy in the nation.

Additionally, the PTI called for a fair campaign environment, urging that all political parties be given equal opportunities to conduct their election campaigns.

Anwarul Haq Kakar, the newly appointed caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, is a prominent political figure from Balochistan and a member of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP). He has been an active politician in the region and served as the parliamentary leader for the newly formed BAP within the Senate. Kakar also held important positions such as Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, as well as membership in various other committees.
