PTI’s senior vice Chairman Sher Afzal Marwat has decided to call off his campaign in Sindh after PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan and senior leader Barrister Hamid Khan disowned him. This announcement came after videos of Marwat casting suspicions on President Arif Alvi circulated online. In response, Marwat took to social media to express his frustration and disheartenment, claiming that he had been targeted by the party’s senior leadership. He stated that he would not lead any rally and was leaving Sindh “half finished” until the matter was settled.

In a separate tweet, Marwat referred to Hasan as a “conspirator” and accused him of creating rifts in the party. However, PTI senior leader Barrister Gohar Khan confirmed that Marwat was still part of the party and would be contesting the February 8 elections from Lakki Marwat.

This is not the first time Marwat has faced conflicts within the party. Last year, he got into a spat with two senior PTI leaders, which led to the party officially distancing itself from Marwat’s statements and implicitly supporting the opposing side.

Despite these challenges, Marwat has played a significant role in the party, having been appointed as senior vice president in November. However, the recent disownment by PTI leaders has led to his decision to step back from the campaign in Sindh.
