The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) initiated protests in various cities across the country on Sunday, accusing “rigging in the general election” held on Feb 8. PTI workers blocked the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway in protest against the alleged rigging. Protests also took place in Punjab, where PTI supporters were arrested, and in Sindh, where political parties continued their protests for a second day. PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman urged the workers to remain calm and peaceful in their struggle for their constitutional rights.
