Prime Minister Kakar arrives in Kuwait to offer condolences on the passing of Emir Sheikh Nawaf – Pakistan

Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar paid a visit to Kuwait on Monday to extend his condolences over the passing of Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. During his meeting with the new Emir Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah, Prime Minister Kakar offered condolences on behalf of himself, the leadership, the government, and the people of Pakistan. He expressed solidarity with Kuwait during this difficult time of grief.

The state-run broadcaster Pakistan Television released a statement praising the late Emir for his visionary leadership and his efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait. Sheikh Meshal also expressed gratitude for the support from Pakistan and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the relationship between the two countries.

Prime Minister Kakar departed for Kuwait from Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi and was seen off by the Kuwaiti ambassador. The visit was made to convey the sympathies and condolences of the Pakistani government and people to the royal family and the citizens of Kuwait.

Emir Sheikh Nawaf, who passed away at the age of 86, was laid to rest at a private funeral, and Kuwait has announced 40 days of mourning along with a three-day closure of official departments. Pakistan also declared a day of mourning to show solidarity with the people and government of Kuwait during this time of sorrow.
