The Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have expressed concern over the worsening situation of violence and lawlessness in Azad Kashmir. According to details, the President of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Yasin, in a statement, opposed the use of force against protesters in Azad Kashmir. He questioned why flour and electricity are cheap in Gilgit-Baltistan but not in Azad Kashmir.

He said it is unfortunate that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir considers himself to be very wise, which is why today the state and the people are face to face; the martyrdom of Inspector Adnan and violence against protesters are losses for both states. The Pakistan Peoples Party strongly condemns violence and arrests of the people.

He said the Pakistan Peoples Party rejects the government’s policies and demands that the protesters’ demands be accepted. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, expressing concern over the deteriorating situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, said that incompetent governments, devoid of transparency, competence, and public approval, have become a curse for the country and the nation. The misuse of power, authoritarian governance methods are leading to social unrest and turmoil in society.

According to a statement issued by the PTI spokesperson, instead of trying to crush the public opinion with force in civilized democratic societies, governments should focus on finding solutions to problems. The state government should engage in a serious analysis of the real motivations of public protests instead of ruining situations with illegality and violence, and should adopt a scientific approach.

The PTI spokesperson said that instead of inclining towards confrontation and violence, governments should build their strength on peaceful public protests, build on the democratic right of the people, and adopt a wise approach instead of pushing failed rulers through horse-trading or Form 47 manipulations. The governance of public mandate and rule of law should be established as the foundation of the national system.
