Lahore: There is a possibility that Malik Ahmed, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, could be made the speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
The meeting of the parliamentary party of the PML-N in Punjab was held before the session of the Punjab Assembly, which was chaired by the nominee for the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.
Zahid Chan, who won the provincial seat from Bahawalpur, will be the Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
On the other hand, the party’s central secretary of information, Maryam Aurangzeb, has been decided to be made a member of the Punjab Assembly, and Maryam Aurangzeb will take the oath as a member of the Punjab Assembly for the first time.
The decision was made after consultation between party leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and party president Shehbaz Sharif. Maryam Aurangzeb will assist in the role of Chief Minister in Punjab.
Maryam Aurangzeb has previously been elected as a member of the National Assembly twice and has served as the Minister of Information twice in the federal government.
